Preface

Do we?

Do we focus on self-care, nurturing our physical, emotional, and mental well-being, or do we deplete ourselves by consistently putting the needs of others before our own?

Do we take the time to acknowledge and appreciate our privileges, the advantages we've been given, the opportunities we've had, and the support we've had along the way, or do we overlook them?

Our big and small actions clearly reflect our true values and beliefs. They tell a story about who we are and what we consider important. Let's delve deeper into this, explore the intricacies of our actions, and see what they reveal about us.

The Job to be done

How might we engage young adults to take their daily medication and give them good self-esteem?

The iNeediCare project aims to develop a user-friendly app that helps young adults take their medications on time and connect with others in similar situations.

The Result

Enable social networking, and include the option to support those in financial need.

iNeediCare will provide a simple, intuitive user interface, enable social networking, and include the option to support those in financial need.

About 2/3 of the users think they will supply needy people to challenge themselves with a good feeling.

I was surprised by how users or people reacted to the idea and the prototype provided.

Insights

The study is the process

The design process included user research, persona creation, competitive analysis, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing to ensure the app meets user needs.

Want to get more into the process? Problem Statement: Young adults have difficulty taking their medications regularly and on time, which can lead to health problems and stress. Existing medication apps are often technically complex, confusing, and unappealing to this target group. Furthermore, these apps lack social features allowing users to connect with and support others facing similar health challenges. This results in young people feeling isolated and having difficulties consistently following through with their medical treatment.

Key Findings

Research Reveals Dual Challenges: Medication Adherence and Social Support Impact

User research indicated that many young adults struggle with taking medications regularly. Most responded positively to the idea of supporting those in need.

It became clear how important it is to read between the lines and focus on what's essential.

Next Steps

Dig deeper, get more insights to do the right thing

If this were more than a study project, I would continue with the following aspects:

Additional research studies with

  • Individuals from socially disadvantaged environments can use technology for safe and goal-oriented purposes.
  • People with diabetes and their behaviors and needs.

Further app development

  • Focusing on community features and charity integration
  • Optimizing Drug-Management
